Foundation Plan

A Typical Foundation for a Manufactured Home

When you purchase a home from FOR-WARD HOMES we will provide you with a foundation plan that indicates locations for sewer drops, water drops etc. The foundation plan we provide will be specific to your home, even if you've selected a "foundation altering" option such as a corner angle window.

Placing your manufactured home on a permanent foundation is generally optional. However, other factors may dictate whether a foundation is required.

If you plan to place your new home in a rental community, or you decide, and your circumstances allow, not  placing your home on a permanent foundation then it's possible additional blocking may be required.

If you're purchasing property a foundation may be required by your lender and/or required by property covenants.

If your situation calls for a permanent foundation be sure your contractor is well versed in the details of construction.

FOR-WARD HOMES does not recommend who you should use as a contractor to build your foundation or construct your improvements. We will, however,  provide you with a list of contractors we've used successfully.
